Karen McCorry - Practicing Educational Psychologist - BA Hons, PGCE, MSc, HCPC Registered PYLO1025

About Me

I have been practising as an educational psychologist for over thirty years and have extensive experience of working with children presenting with complex needs. I am a sensitive, empathetic practitioner able to build trusting relationships with children from a wide variety of backgrounds.

I have a broad range of assessment skills and considerable experience in the application of a wide range of techniques. I am highly experienced at carrying out assessments that identify a child’s strengths and areas that could be barriers to learning.

I believe parents are integral to the assessment of their children. I facilitate constructive discussions between parents and teachers to establish a shared understanding of the child’s needs and how best to support them to reach their full potential.
