What happens during assessment?

A typical assessment at school usually looks like this:

Pre-assessment forms sent to parents and school by EP.

Parental consultation before assessment of child.

Half a day visit to school to make an assessment of emotional, social skills, visual, spatial, verbal reasoning, processing and academic skills using the ‘British Abilities Scales 3’ GL Assessment.

Feedback and planning meeting is arranged to discuss and agree a plan of action with school and family.

Full Report is sent 10 working days after assessment.
